What is the Transcript?
The transcript is the backbone of your video. It is the speech
from your audio or video, turned into editable text.
You edit it like a text editor — and every edit changes the video and
the audio directly: deleting, cutting or muting words cuts the matching
speech out of the video, and pasting copies speech to a new place.
Muted words stay visible
struck through — they are kept out of the video but never lost.

What is a Speaker?
A speaker is a person your viewers see in the video. A visible
presenter makes a video feel personal and holds attention. EVE gives you
two ways to add one — pick whichever fits you:
Avatar — a photo brought to life
Upload one photo of a face. EVE animates it and moves the lips
in sync with your narration. No filming, no microphone — everything runs
locally and free. Best when you don't want to record yourself, or you want
the same consistent presenter in every video.
Bubble video — the real you
Record or upload a video of yourself talking. It plays inside a
small circle — a "bubble" — over the scenes. Best when you want your real
face and expressions in the video. If the take contains speech that should
be heard, use the Transcribe buttons so it becomes part of the narration.
The difference in one sentence
Avatar = a still photo that EVE animates for you.
Bubble = a real video you filmed yourself. Both appear in a circle
over the scene — the avatar is generated from a picture, the bubble is
your own footage.
Placement — where the speaker appears
Choose Whole video, Selected scenes or This scene only,
then press Apply placement. The bubble video plays continuously
through the chosen scenes — scenes you leave out don't consume it, so it
never restarts from the beginning. Switching a scene off keeps its clip —
nothing is lost.
Fine-tuning per scene — the Scene panel
Select a scene and open the Scene panel (the Scene tab above
the timeline, double-click a scene, or press T). There you can switch
the speaker on/off for that scene, choose Bubble vs Full screen,
Adjust the face position inside the circle, Replace the clip
or Delete it.
Switching methods is safe
The Off / Avatar / Bubble selector only changes what this panel
shows — your existing speaker clips are never deleted by switching.
